travel europe italy tuscany florence francescane missionaire di maria

Our family group of six had a large room and private bath in the old convent of Francescane Missionaire di Maria.
It has a decent location a few blocks across the river from the main part of the historic center of Florence.
The room and bath were clean and featured a high ceiling and a window that looked out onto the street.
The place was very quiet and we saw few of the other residents.
Breakfast was served in a large dining room and was decent enough.
Although the convent advertised parking, there was none available at that time.
The convent is located in a part of the city that requires a permit to drive in and park.
We had to find a place to park for four days on the street several blocks away.
As it turned out, there was no problem, but it was not a comfortable situation.
